These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to services provided by Kiri O’Connor through Soul Hum.
By using this website or booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
1. About my practice
I provide Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy as a complementary therapeutic service.
My approach is gentle, client-centered and grounded in respect for each person's individual experience, autonomy and wellbeing.
Craniosacral therapy is complementary to, rather than a replacement for, appropriate medical or other healthcare.
Information provided on this website is general in nature and is not intended to provide medical diagnosis, emergency care or a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Individual responses to sessions vary and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
2. Professional memberships
I am a member of:
Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists (PACT)
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America (BCTA/NA)
International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT)
I aim to practice in accordance with the relevant professional, ethical and practice standards applicable to my training, professional memberships and practice, together with applicable Australian law.
I maintain professional insurance appropriate to my practice.
3. Appointments and client information
Appointments are provided by prior booking.
To provide an appropriate and safe service, I may ask you to provide information about your health, wellbeing, medications, relevant medical history and other circumstances that may affect your session.
You are responsible for providing information that you reasonably consider relevant to your care and for informing me of significant changes in your circumstances.
I may recommend that you seek advice from another appropriately qualified health professional where I consider this appropriate.
4. Consent and client autonomy
Your consent is an important part of every session.
You are welcome to ask questions before or during a session and may:
decline any aspect of a session;
request a change to how a session is conducted;
ask for a session to stop; or
withdraw your consent at any time.
I will respect your decisions and boundaries.
5. Touch and professional boundaries
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy may involve gentle, appropriate therapeutic touch.
The nature and location of touch will be appropriate to the therapeutic context and discussed where necessary.
Professional boundaries will be maintained at all times.
If you have any concerns about touch or would prefer a session with particular boundaries or limitations, please discuss this with me before or during your appointment.
6. Medical care and emergencies
Craniosacral therapy is not an emergency medical service.
If you have a medical emergency or require urgent medical attention, you should contact emergency services or seek immediate medical care.
You should not delay, discontinue or alter medical treatment on the basis of information provided on this website or during a craniosacral therapy session.
7. Fees and payment
Current fees are provided on the website, booking system or at the time of booking.
Payment is due at the end of the appointment, unless otherwise agreed.
Fees may be changed from time to time. The applicable fee will be communicated before or at the time of booking.
8. Cancellations and missed appointments
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a fee of 50% of the appointment fee.
Missed appointments may incur the full appointment fee.
I understand that illness, emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur, and exceptional circumstances will be considered with compassion and at my discretion.
If I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment where available.
9. Privacy
As a complementary health practitioner, I may collect personal and health information in connection with providing my services.
Health information is sensitive information and is handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Please refer to my Privacy Policy for information about what I collect, why I collect it, how it is stored and protected, and your rights regarding access and correction.
10. Complaints and feedback
I welcome feedback and encourage you to raise any concern directly with me in the first instance.
I will listen to your concern and take reasonable steps to respond appropriately.

If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, you may have access to external complaint pathways, including the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner where applicable.
